Autumnal colour in Colinton Dell

The beeches in Colinton Dell are beautiful at the moment

So are the hornbeams,

their chandelier fruits looks particularly wonderful just now

the cones on the larch I've been studying for Tree Following look like fully mature cones now

while the wildflower meadow behind the larch looks as though it has been mown to promote the growth of the more delicate flowers next spring

The colors are so beautiful. Still green, but already changing :) I'd love going for a walk there!

Lovely stuff. I have missed you! It's been so long since I've blogged… but I'm trying to get back to it.

I've been very interested in following your postings on the Larch in all its phases. A beautiful tree.
