Meanwhile, the lovely shadows of the beech tree below (also in Craiglockart Dell) are from earlier this year, at the beginning of autumn. The rock in this photo is interesting too as it's a glacial erratic, a rock that was left here after the glaciers retreated at the end of the last ice age.
