Bridges in the Borders

 This is a bridge in the centre of Peebles, it passes over the River Tweed.
 This is me on a bridge just outside of Peebles over the River Tweed. And the same bridge from below in the photo below.

Bridges made of natural materials, like stones and wood, are strangely enchanting. My eyes tend to avoid the modern bridges, no matter how cleverly designed they are. But I could stare at a stone bridge or a wooden bridge for hours.

I remember the first bridge very clearly. We had had a pizza/pasta in Peebles, and sat by the river for an ice cream. Such a wonderful river ...
