Lovely my friend. Makes me crave garlic :)

The sight of anything green poking through the snow is a sight for sore eyes! This winter drags on for far too long. Your blackbird is related to our American robin which is always a harbinger of spring. There are no robins returned yet with the bitter cold and deep snow.

Wild garlic,
its smell in the field
peppers my breath.

What a delightful image. I hope we see something fresh and new poking through the snow soon.

If wild garlic doesn't make you an optimist, nothing will. Good ku.

As always, a great haiku. Images of spring.
