Weekend Walk in North Merchiston Cemetery

We had a lovely weekend walk in North Merchiston cemetery! Spring is definitely on its way for the elm trees

and several types of daffodils in bloom

and don't forget the humble dandelion, which can often be overlooked or dismissed as a weed, but which in reality is a great flower for pollinators such as bees and hoverflies

The hibernating ladybirds are waking up now, we were amused by this 2 spot ladybird crawling over a snail (you should be able to get a better view if you click on the photo to enlarge it).
