NaPoWriMo
asked us to write about flowers today. I may write something more
serious eventually, but for now, here are some hastily written rhyming
couplets, inspired by flowers around Corstorphine Hill this lunchtime.
the honey bee performs her chores
among the blossoms of the gorse
how pretty is the heather
no matter what the weather
look up, oh can you see
little flowers in the cypress tree?
Plus, can you see the baby bunnies in the bramble patch below? There are at least three, but I don't think any of them show in the photo.

Hello, pretty flowers and post. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
My work has had lots of baby bunnies running around since february. Whey jump in front of my bicycle
Love this post! How lucky to have heather and bunnies. I can see a bunny at the bottom center of the photo, and maybe higher up on the left side.
Always love your pictures. If you look at a large view of the bunny picture closely you can see bunny ears (bodies too).
Hi Juliet,
How lovely your flowers are - I always love to plant flowers in the garden that attract the bees, like lavender.
Happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn
Spring's here! Finally. Loved your photos.
Greetings from London.
Beautiful pictures and words, I loved the second couplet the best. Those violet beauties are indeed beauties, no matter what the weather!

Your 'floral poetics' are great
All the best Jan
