Misty Trees and spiders webs

We've just come back from a pleasant few days in the suburbs of Manchester, visiting my parents. The first day there it was incredibly misty so we walked to Parr Fold Park and I took these photos.

Beautiful pictures. The spider web is very cool. And that final picture has a real "through the wardrobe" feel to it. A bit spooky, actually.

You have captured the very essence of the day.

My reaction was the same as Karen's.. Oooo.. Wonderfully spooky!

I love spider webs when they're all dewy/dampy and visible as they tremble in a slight morning breeze.

Fog is very familiar to me here in Venice. I remember the atmosphere of Nortth-West England ...one winter several years ago, in the early 90's, I remember the persisting frost and that smell of peat, which maybe I had first smelled in Ireland...
We were in a small village called Hope not far from Chester having riding lessons in an indoor riding school field. In the evening we watched tv, I remember it was the first time I came to know the hilarious series "Blackadder"!!

Beautiful. I could almost feel the chill and the damp.

I love to walk in the forest when it is misty. Lovely scenes and your photos are beautiful.

Very similar weather over here. I'm always astonished at how the fog drains all the colour from the day.

And the framed spider's web is marvellous.

Uuuhhh, scary. Too scary. ... don't go in those woods without carrying a vacuum sweeper because, you know, Nature abhors a vacuum!
