There are a few empty shops in the centre of Dumfries, but several of them have been decorated to make them less of an eyesore. This is a detail from the paintings on the front of the abandoned pet shop.
Havant Borough Council have taken to sticking huge pictures of fake shop fronts on the empty windows. They certainly make the whole place look better - although poorer!

I could look at that for a long time! I love bunnies. Great that someone thought to do add art to the empty storefronts as I am sure it helps to discourage vandalism, plus providing happiness to passersby.
Beautiful! Do you know the artist? My sister uncovered two oil paintings of rabbits very similar to that piece, very, very similar. I'm wondering if we have seen art from the same artist?

I love it. And I like it even more for knowing no one is selling bunnies inside, although it's a shame no one is selling pet food and supplies.
