I like this! I can just see them racing around the tree to the tune of the blackbird's caw.
I think folk believe haiku is easy, but it does take some real work to get it just right, doesn't it?

So pretty. oaks, blackbirds..
My daughter has some of the rsp cuddly irds that play bird call recordings if you squeeze the belly. Where i used to live, i would squeeze the blackbirds belly and real blackirds would answer from the garden. my daughter now takes the song thrush to the park with hoping she will get a reply, sadly she never does...

Nice haiku. Makes me wonder if you've been sneaking around my back yard, though...

Very seasonal, CGP - a lovely haiku. We have just started to get squirrels in our town garden. Exciting!

Great visuals! Love the blackbird alarm! They sure can rival an alarm in the noise category.

I have been saying for months that people didn't have to post a photo.. so I am really happy to see this. I don't have any success writing any kind of poetry so I really enjoy yours.. Thanks for participating in Nature Notes... Michelle
