first frost -
greenfinches glow emerald

Love the haiku. Haiku are so good for giving one vivid image (if they work - and this one does).

I love both the haiku and the bird. We don't have them here, but it looks a bit like our evening grosbeak, which is a finch.

This is striking - great use of colour contrasts to show up the star of your show.
