Walking in a Winter Wonderland

 a winter's day in Colinton and Craiglockart Dells along the Water of Leith.

roe deer on the hill

The moss with capsules looks like Bryum capillare. It produces dropping green capsules mainly in late winter and early spring and is abundant.

We still haven't yet hit freezing, but that may change this week! A beautiful walk.
