Lavender Bags

I made this lavender bag a while ago and am reposting it because I think it deserves a second chance. I used some scraps of Malawian fabric to make lavender bags as gifts.
Its simple to make - just hem a piece of fabric, sew together two seams and fill with lavender, finishing it off with a piece of ribbon. The ribbon here is reused, but I'm not sure where it came from.
And for those of you who are wondering about my ladybird mobile, I'm working on it, it's just taking a while to source all the necessary materials!

I love going to the Herb Festival every year that I can so as to take in the scents such as the one you've created here.

Your haiku below is really nice too. Hope all is well. Have a great day.

I think lavender and herb sachets are about the loveliest (and easiest) gifts to make!
And I like the use of the colorful fabric from Malawi!

Love to smell lavender. I found a bush here in oklahoma that is some kind of lavender hybrid. It was gorgeous this year and is growing huge. I will have to find out the official name. It is unlike any lavender I have ever seen.

Is there a particular time of year that you should pick the lavender? I'm thinking it would be nice to make some for Christmas, which is midsummer here. I have a lavendar bush, and my daughter has a whole line of them down her driveway, which she has to keep cutting back
