SAVE THE FROGS! has announced the international Frog Poetry contest, with prizes
including the chance to have your poems published in a book they will
sell to raise funds for their amphibian conservation projects. The competition aims to raise awareness of
the mass extinction of amphibians that is currently taking place
worldwide.
Please spread the word to any poets you know and if you're a teacher, this would be a wonderful project to get your students interested in poetry and frog conservation.

a good initiative...however I prefer to write about the loss of innocent human lives than frogs for now (check my post)
It is sad how many animals are close to extinction. You are great to help raise awareness. The contest sounds like it will be a fun one, have a great day!
Here's to healthy populations of happy frogs. The town where they found all the deformed frogs back in 1995 is just south of here. The situation has improved and they aren't finding many deformed ones anymore.
Nice interviewand congratulations on doing your first novel! The frog poem idea sound like a good one. Hopefully there will be lots of interest and some poets will "hop" to it and get it done!
Just my cup of tea - thanks Juliet - I will spread the word (and enter some froggy poems)
Save the Frogs is a great idea. Congratulations on your interview.
