Mothers Day Card

In the UK, Mothers Day is just a week on Sunday! Here's the card I made for my Mum, using only scrap card and paper.

Nice. Your mum will love it. I love that you repurposed materials. I do that too, with litter. Makes it much more creative, don't you think, to find something and think about how to recycle/UPcycled it? Good for you. Showing love to your mother and the planet! Sharon

What a beautiful card, Juliet, and the thought that has gone into producing it. Love the tulip arrangement and fall of stalks, too.

How much nicer to receive a home made card than a shop bought one.

Great card. Your Mum is sure to love it. Our Mothers Day is in May. I'll see what I can make for my Mum by then.

Quite nice. Handmade cards seem so much more special.

Well...my mum is in a nursing home now, she is not bad but she is losing her memory, she is 89. You remind me of a time in which there were great celebrations for the Mum's Day here in Italy when I was a child in the early 60's...there was a famous TV show where children sang...I associate all this with the first hints of spring, the sun acquiring force, the bright stage of the year advancing...Best wishes Mums..

I would bet that this is not the first lovingly crafted Mother's Day card your mom has received from you!

You are so talented! I may copy your idea, if you don't mind.

Such a lovely card! Since this will be my first mother's day (ours is in May) without my mum, perhaps I'll make some cards to take to the nursing home across the street. It would be fun to make the cards, and I suspect the administrators could tell me of a few ladies who might like to get them.

That's lovely. I like the colors of the petals.
