Poetry collages

I've been making a few poetry collages. You can see the first one I made in this post here. I've also made a couple of other collages using that same poem.

Yesterday though I enjoyed cutting up copies of a different poem I no longer like and I made the following collages from old magazine pages and other similar materials. I also made another collage (which didn't look as good) - each one has a slightly different new poem on it.

What a perfect idea!
I especially love the second one.

What a clever idea Juliet - cutting out words and placing them can give one so many different images and meanings/

These are really great Juliet. I like the minimalism as it makes the words stand out beautifully. Having said that, I really love the poem in your original post.

Lovely! I really like the different shades of blue you have on there. I love doing collages, even poetic collages. :)

For me, I love combining poetry and origami on my collage like this one here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alotus_poetry/5379684223/

I absolutely ADORE this art form and use it as art, therapy, story and character development....almost anything.

If I haven't collaged it it hasn't happened! ;)

Thanks for the article. I almost passed your blog up in Google but now I'm glad I stopped by and got to read it. I'm definitely a lot more informed now. I'll be recommending your site to some friends of mine. They'll definitely get a kick out of what I just read too. LOL
