Mallards
Mallards are handsome birds aren't they? But oh you wouldn't want to recommend them as role models when teaching children about relationships. I recently tested out the video function on my new camera and you can see my video of mallard 'courtship' on Flickr here.

Beautiful photo here.
After seeing the video, I'm so GLAD I'm not a female mallard!
Handsome indeed. But good grief! to the video.
I quite liked the rushy around bits, it added to the drama.
Very nice reflection! The video...my, poor Ms. Duck!
They are beautiful. I feel so sorry for her though! It seemed like once one of them finally "got" her, the others might leave her alone. Apparently not!
There were points where I was worried she might drown just trying to get away from them!
I love the wakes each has created and the reflections they offer!
Well - kids might as well find out now!
(I guess we all are waiting now for your 2nd video!)
That is a really neat photo!
They are very handsome (I love them) - I tried to watch the video but it kept freezing up (probably a problem at my end).
Lovely swirly photo, and I agree with the other commenters re the plight of the female.
BTW The word verification is 'brant' which is the name of our version of brent geese.
They are handsome birds, and I never get tired of pictures of them.
I love the way the water and mallards look in this shot. Beautiful!
Nice photo and a very interesting video.
Best wishes,
Angelika
Happy Easter!
Your picture abloom blew me out of the ballpark when I enlarged it. I could not believe my eyes...all the swirls in the water and all the magnificent colors. This is an A+ shot....awesome photography. I think I would want it hanging on my wall if I were you it is so neat.
