Blackbird

a male blackbird hops energetically round the branches of the cherry tree, wiping its beak on a twig every so often

I like the notice of wiping the beak.
I always notice that squirrels put their wee paws to their chests like waiters with towels.

I love a blackbird singing - could be my favorite sound (well..maybe after Sandy Denny). Had I not been offshore for most of the month, they could feature as my pebble every day.
