Wild garlic

Colinton Dell by the Water of Leith is carpeted in wild garlic now and smells, in fact, of garlic too!

It grows in abundance where I walk the dog at the river Almond, the smell is powerful!

Hi Gingi, yes you can eat it, though because of the large numbers of dogs that go for walkies round Colinton dell, you have to wash it very carefully first! It makes a lovely pesto though
