sun's energy
becomes nuts and fruits -
squirrel bounces.

You know, I really find it fascinating that I always write similar to you for these prompts. LOL

Love the picture, and the haiku really does bounce. :)

I think I too will give it a try. Your haiku has a very eternal feel to it.

Susan, Polona, Brian, quietpaths, mandy, wrdmuser, tammy - thanks.

Gautami - eternal? Wow, thanks.

Roswila - glad it helped energise you!

And the photo was a total fluke, the squirrel was running around me in circles and I had no idea any of the photos would come out!

Now that makes for a good energy source!
Your poem makes me think of spring.

I love the connection you made throughout. There's a lesson there. Don't you just love when we take those fluke photos that are just great.

A squirrel does seem like pure energie, doesn't it? If you ever see Over the Hedge, the squirrel is super-sonic.

Why he's kicking up his heels! When I read a haiku like this I am humbled. The condensation of meaning and form is beyond me. I love it - and it is beyond me.
