the first shoots
of wild garlic in the woods
a song thrush sings.

Have you really already heard a song thrush ? I heard a woodpecker drumming and the robins are going mad of course. Do hope we don't get any really bad weather.

I have not yet heard the Thrush but the early shoots of chives are up!

But true spring is a looooong way away here yet!

Thanks for the brightness in the midst of winter!

Thanks everyone, it isn't spring, not really but it does feel like it and all the birds are singing, way earlier than they usually do...

Nice little haiku (well of course it's little if it's a haiku). From the new year on spring creeps in in bits - I like to designate half of winter as spring. Here in Kirkcudbright, I see the first snowdrops this morning.
