Photos of Arthur's Seat

Photos taken yesterday at Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, Click on the photos for more detail - particularly recommended for the foxglove!
the middle photo was taken by Crafty Green Boyfriend, who also took the photo in the new header, showing a small copper butterfly on Arthur's Seat. I posted a haibun about these butterflies yesterday.

You're right. Clicking on the pictures brought so much detail out. That foxglove pops off the page. It has a great view of the city behind, kind of blury in the background.

We noticed that smaller rock formation in the middle picture looks like a horse's (or alligator's) head!

Love the foxglove; strangely, I enjoyed photographing one yesterday - on the end of Gower at Rhossili (South Wales, UK).

Arthur's Seat is such an evocative place. We sometimes visit a cairn called Arthur's Stone on Gower.

Very evocative photos. Haven't been to Arthur's Seat for many years (but, like Coastcard, walk around Arthur's Stone on Gower quite regularly!)
