haiga - light

A collage of old magazine images and reused wrapping paper to illustrate a haiku. The haiku is one of those I posted for One Deep Breath earlier this week:

clouds across the sun -

shade and light patchwork

the fields.

When I first looked at this piece, I thought it was a lady dancing in the sunlight. I then realized it was your phenominal placement of collage! Great job!

A splendid piece! I too saw a woman with arms spread swaying in the light.

I want to try that. You did such a great job of it, I love that your words were within a cloud.

Such clever use of collage and negative space. So elegant in its simplicity.

Thanks everyone - glad so many of you can see the dancer!

Cheryl - yes I try to use recycled/reused/reclaimed materials as much as I can.

Gaby - thanks for tagging me, but I've answered that meme or others like it already....

Nice recycled collage. That gives me an idea to use with students in the fall. They love to create collages which may inspire some writing.
