Colinton Dell

The daffodils are almost at the point of opening.

Two roe deer chase each other alongside the path, then they veer and leap gracefully over the path and into the trees.

I'm amazed that you are getting so green already! I was wondering are roe deer native to Scotland or introduced?

Bill - roe deer are native but became almost extinct in the 1800s and were then reintroduced.

All the daffodils I have seen today are nearly out - wonder when I shall see the first open one.

Great moment; haiku in spirit, even though not in form.

That must be stunning when the flowers are in bloom. I like the way they meander into the woods.

Soon they will bloom. Ours opened a week or so ago.

Can't stop spring now!!

I guess it must be a LOT warmer in Scotland than it is here in Ontario, Canada! I haven't seen the leaves pole through the soil yet. :) But I am enjoying spring as it pops all over Blogland.

Maybe your post had a hand in it - our daffodils have opened this morning! If so - thanks!
