I'm not 100% convinced about my ID of the moth, this seems to be too late in the year for it, but I can't think what else it would be....

Moths are realy interesting, aren't they, but unfortunately, for a number of reasons, more difficult to identify than buterflies. I found a red underwing on our door once.

It's a lovely haiku, very atmospheric.

Moths are beautiful and fascinating. This a great haiku.

And an unexpected image as well. I am sure you gently help it find its way back outside.

Lucy - yes they are generally more difficult to id, the orange underwing is relatively easy for a moth, just shouldn't be around at this time of year according to the books...

Bill, Nathan, Holly - thanks

Annie - yes we did

Polona - follow the link and you'll see a photo!

Haiku with moments of suspense until the link kicked in, wonderful.

i love the simplicity of your words that lead to a moth image (so both beautiful).

A lovely moth, but I do wish they wouldn't find their way inside. x
