Organic September

Organic September is a month-long campaign to raise awareness of the many benefits of organic food and farming, which include:

Many organic farms are havens for wildlife.

Reduces pollution and is climate friendly.

Higher welfare standards for farmed animals.

Reduced exposure to pesticides (important for our health as well as for insect life)

Find out more on the Soil Association website.

Do you buy organic products? If so, which are your favourites? If you don't buy organic, why is that?

Thanks for reminder. Much of our area here is organic because farming here is relative high-cost and so products have to have extra appeal and value. Quite successful and farmers - including many smaller more specialty farmers - seem to be doing quite well.

Hi RG, yes the organic premium is a great incentive for farmers to turn organic! Glad to read it's quite successful in your area.
