Crocuses

blackbirdsong -
a carpet of crocuses
across the park.

The photo is actually from last year, but that's how the crocuses are looking in The Meadows, Edinburgh, just now!

Oh wow! I just love the purple ones. Mine are just coming out and they always remind me of old fashioned purple humbug sweets. I shall post mine when they are a bit further out. Lovely shot.

Beautiful words and flowers. I love the way the crocuses look in a field of green.

I would be happy to see one.

They are gorgeous, always the first flower in my yard. They seem to say "Hello, welcome to spring"

Wow, so pretty - wish we had them. Lovely haiku.

How beautiful! I haven't seen any here yet, it's been too cold. Maybe in a few weeks :)
Cheers,

First report of crocuses :) It'll be the daffs before we know it and Summer will be upon us.

They are both lovely - the photograph and the haiku.

They are very lovely. To me, they look as if they were just placed there on the grass randomly.

Beautiful flowers are writing. I wish we had crocuses by now but we're still getting snow. Sometime in March we'll get our first snowdrops.
