Exceptional, Juliet! The geese are everywhere in this part of the world and especially in my hometown where many Canadian geese winter at Capitol Lake (warmed by artesian well water. Here's a video link I know you'll enjoy @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qDxSD5v0iA
Jim - thanks, the plural of haiku, well it depends who you talk to, but most serious haiku writers use haiku as the plural of haiku, just as it would be in Japanese.

BRRRRRR.
2 great haikus Juliet. Like how the lines end in the first haiku, so similar to the eye.

I saw geese this week, just like that.
You know, the second haiku describes me on ice, too.
i can easily picture the rotweiler pausing before each step. i've always been afraid of rotweilers. hope all is well.
Really must get writing poetry again.
Thanks for the inspiration.

I love these haikus. Capture winter so well.
So many geese overhead at the moment! And so noisy at evening.
Loved both of these.
The second one made me laugh - can just picture that rottweiler.
