It seems to be an exceptional year for orchids, Juliet - there are many round here that have not appeared for years.
I love the name Water of Leith - it sounds so poetic.

Wish I could join you for a walk along Water of Leith! Looks like a beautiful spot! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful photos of nature....how is your ladybug (ladybird) mobile coming?

Hi Juliet. I agree with Weaver of Grass; Water of Leith sounds like the title of a beautifully romantic novel or a song. I love your middle butterfly picture. So beautifully arranged on his leaf. The ladybird is very sweet. Lots of them together would look lovely. Your grass up there appears very green and lush. I bet you are getting plenty of rain...lol.

Your purple flower is so similar to a wildflower we have here in Southern California that blooms red and is called an Indian paintbrush. Your pictures are lovely!

Beautiful butterfly. Unfortunately I don't seemany around nowadays here in York. Could it be the weather? Or the environment! Have a nice weekend. Ciao. A.

Beautiful photos! I like how perfectly centered the butterfly is on the leaf.
