Jewellery Display Board
I made this yesterday from some styrofoam packaging from a Christmas present, wrapped in leftover fabric from a dress I had had made for me in Malawi. It's a nice wee board to hang jewellery on, but could also be used as a notice board above a desk.

Have I ever mentioned that I really enjoy these recycled-material craft projects? I'm not artistic in the graphic sense, maybe a little more in the crafts, but I did build a cold frame for my garden out of scrap lumber and a shower door I got from the local Freecycle group. ;-)
I could use a noticeboard like that!
hiya! I love your poetry and your blog, oh! and the photos you post, b u t especially I like it that you're getting more & more crafty! ;-)
Farfetched - that kind of cold frame is something that always inspires me....
Dave King - they're so easy to make too!
LiZZie - i go through phases, sometimes not much craft, other times quite a bit....
A fantastic idea to use up recycled items. It just goes to show that buying expensive versions of something like this in a shop is totally unnecessary. x
I bet the dress was gorgeous in its heyday. Lovely fabric print.
I just read the last few months post, as I was a little placed in the fiery pits of nothingness.
I hope all is well, and it's nice to have the time to read your blog again.
Splendid idea! I'm sure it's not that easy to make. I'm totally hopeless with craft! Do you accept mail orders??? ciao. Antonella
thisismypatch - thanks! Yes I like to create where I can instead of buy
Mistlethrush - it was a lovely dress, yes...
Noah - good to see you again...
Lunarossa - I've started wondering whether I should do mail order... maybe?
