haiku - time

outside my window
the clouds speed across the sky -
the alarm clock ticks

***************************
plants buried in mud
millions of years ago -
fossils on the beach

time for Mad Kane's Haiku prompt

For some reason this one reminds me of the old saw ...
"Time flies like an arrow, Fruit flies like a banana"

Maybe it is the bunnies around here!

Inspired me to participate in MadKane's challenge as well. Thanks for opening up new vistas!

Also, I love your "birds singing" tag--for many years every poem I wrote had birds in it...go figure.

Hey Juliet
I was looking for a haiku on "Time" for a project I need to complete for school and I found yours. Wow! Your poetry is amazing. I would like to know if I could use your haiku as an example in my english 9 class, of course giving the credit to you. Thank you for sharing your art : )
