Ladybirds in Saughton Park

We had a lovely walk round Saughton Park yesterday.

We were pleased to see these Two-Spot Ladybirds ensuring the next generation

It was also reassuring to see that they had good supplies of food, lots of black aphids!

Yes, eat those aphids! My poor plants.

I’ve not seen that many ladybirds in the garden, this year. I recall that in the summer of 1976, there were swarms of Ladybirds everywhere!

On a different note, my son, who lives not far from me, said that his grass is full of grasshoppers! That was good to hear!

Have a good week! 😁
