Tulip shadows

I was fascinated by the tulip shadows in my parents' garden last weekend, both inside the flowers and on the new paving stones on the upper part of the garden.

Of course, for shadows we need sunshine Juliet - and it has been a sunny day here today - wish I had thought of taking a few shadow shots as it is set to rain tomorrow.

I love the look of this ruby tulip - in glorious color and in monochrome shadow too. Spring has sprung, and the last vestiges of the previous winter are gone. Warmer days are here!
