We had a lovely day today in Biggar, a small market town in Lanarkshire. We started in the Biggar Poetry Garden where two of my poems are on display. You can read my poems on the Biggar Poetry website here and I'm standing next to them in the photo below.
It was lovely to read the other poems on display in the garden, including one from JoAnne MacKay, who some of you may know from her blog Titus the Dog.There are also plaques with extracts from poems about specific flowers on display near the flowers mentioned in the poems, such as this one from Edwin Morgan, the great Scottish poet, who died last year.
Then we went for a very nice walk, which I'll blog about tomorrow...

Congrats - it's great to have one's poetry displayed publicly, and in a garden no less. It can be a quiet reflective place where people can actually stop, read, and think about it.

I love this kind of arrangement (I've seen it in the Shakespeare Garden in NYC's Central Park too.)

Well done on getting a bit more of your poetry out there (in the open air) and thanks for the little prompt to surf for some Edwin Morgan (I'm afraid I can't read the picture you've posted (it won't blow up)). I like his strawberries and now the internet presents me with a lovely poem about particles.
