the skylark's song
rains down

thick hedge -
the pink hopping
of a bullfinch

Juliet, I love these haikus: would you be interested in contributing one or more about woods and trees to inspire our campaigners, please? Please email me via campaigns@woodlandtrust.org.uk to chat further if so. Thanks! Kaye (Campaigner)

I love Haiku. Such an efficient and elegant form of poetry. I liked both, but the first is my favorite. Nice! "Birdsong raining down"-so visual!
