bird haiku

House sparrows’ calls
echo round the courtyard –
a black cat stretches

i must confess that since Kevin McNeil gave us a series of workshops, have developed a critical eye over this unoique form of verse and i like this one very much :))

this is my patch said...

I have a regular black cat visitor to my garden. This morning when I opened the curtains at 6.45 am it was curled up asleep in a border. I wonder if it had been there all night? Don't cats feel the cold? x
