Love the haiku - who could bear to prune with that little sweetie sitting on a leaf. Lovely photo Juliet.

I don't think we have those bugs here. Excellent photo and the haiku is marvelous.

Yes, CGP, I like the Haiku, too. I have never seen a Shield Bug with those brown markings before - a Water of Leith special?

I love shield bugs. We have lots around here and especially at mating times. Ours are green all over though. Like the haiku.

I enjoy reading all the "7 things about people", you see on blogs now. You can learn some really interesting facts. Liked the colourful green Christmas cards too. I have just been told that it is five weeks to Christmas...yikes!!!

I don't recognize it as something we have here, either. Do they munch a lot?

Loved the haiku.

Like the others, our Shield Bugs are green all over. What's afoot over there?

A beauty. It looks like it has solid silver antennae. Mind the magpies don't get it. :)

Wonderful haiku..I am amazed that you could get that kind of detail with the bug is very green and so is the back ground. I love getting photos of insects.. Super post...

We like the close-up picture of the fascinating bug, it's so green. We also like your recycling tips for cards and wrapping paper....we will pass these on to our mombean. Thanks for coming to visit our kitty blog, you are welcome any time.

Tis a more attractive shield bug than I've ever seen on this side of the pond. Definitely worth a click for the enlarged version.

What a lovely little bug! I find myself stopping to admire bugs, too. Their colors, legs, wings, eyes. They really can be quite beautiful.

Neat shot!

I've always loved them.
I first saw them (noticed them), in Korea.
After that I saw them in all kinds of colours (that was my macro mania time)
:)
