Recycled Diary
I've just made myself a diary for 2009. It's made from cardboard and paper recycled from office waste and a patch of reused wrapping paper to brighten it up and a piece of recycled elastic that I can't remember where its come from, its been in my stash for so long! It's a practical way to reuse quite a lot of waste paper and it will certainly come in useful! This is my diary for writing my journal in. I also have a diary in my handbag, but for that purpose I find a ready made small diary from Oxfam is sturdier and more useful and supports charity into the bargain.

That's a great idea to recycle office waste! I cut my scrap paper into smaller pieces to write notes on.
By the way, thank you for giving me that feedback about the haiku. I guess I'm not doing anyone justice by not giving "all" the information. I value any information you wish to give.
We try to use to blank sides of paper for printing or writing. I used the opposite side of a rabbit picture I'd printed out as a source image to print out my confirmation of registration for a conference. The official checking people in kept turning the paper over to look at the rabbit looking at him.......
Like the idea of recycled stuff making next year's diary. It is appalling the amount of paper one gets through the mail (unsolicited) and the awful plastic wrapping too.I always recycle scraps of material, paper etc where I can to add to my textile work.
good post
We gotta keep hameering away. More clever uses like this and D.Moll's will encourage others more!
It's amazing the things we can reuse if we just think about it a bit. Great ideas Juliet.
Love the dairy, I ache for the
look of handmade crafts, esp.
in book/journal form.
Nice diary! It looks really cheerful, with the sunflower photo stuck on it :)
this is gorgeous. i also write notes on scrap paper, then forget where i've put them, the place is littered with them...thanks for your visit on my blog.
Crafty, green and thrifty.
