geese gathering honking in the fields,
early morning mist low over the trees,
bright turning leaves
and the five glowing colours of rowan berries,
spider webs draped over hedgerows
where robins wistfully sing,
magical light glowing
transforming stone to gold,
deer alert in a herd under
a yellow frost-moon
the hedgehog's prickled ball
waiting

That is beautiful. It really does remind me of landscape painting, the way you lead the eye and the touch of bird song in the middle. That is a very beautiful poem.
Fabulous, Ity makes me pine for the riverside walks where I used to live.
I agree it is beautiful! draws a lovely picture of nature.
Love the images of "the five glowing colours of rowan berries" and "a yellow frost-moon", Juliet.
I love your header. The list poem gives me such a picture in my head of fall. Thank you.
The hedgehog at the end was a crowning touch.
really just lovely. I'm right there with you as I read it.
Conjures up a lovely picture of Autumn.
A delightful autumn scene - love the ending with the hedgehog waiting. Beautiful.

a beautiful description, like finding a field of flowers in the desert
wonderful impressions beautifully strung together
So lovely. Love that name for the moon. On my farmer's almanac calendar this month's moon is the beaver moon! Where is the poetry in that?
Beautiful images, particularly the five colours. And the hedgehog finishes it off beautifully!
"waiting" is a most effective finale to this.
Beautiful! I agree the last line is wonderful.
such wonderful imagery, as always in your poems!
The 'five glowing colours' are so intriguing!
