Seil Island is a small island off the west coast of Scotland, near Oban. it is reached from the mainland by the Atlantic Bridge, a terrifying single track hump backed bridge. It's a lovely place, we went for a long walk along the coast and there was a new wonderful view round every corner. The weather was perfect too, sunny and still. We saw some interesting lichens and fungi in the woods and plenty of birds too.

Seil island is a lovely place as I recall - they quarry slate there if I remember correctly.
does sound like a terrifying bridge. :O
Looks amazing - not sure I'd be able to survive the bridge, though! Yikes!
Looks so lovely. Quite untouched by humans it seems. The bridge sound pretty scary, I have bit of a bridge-phobia that I have had to try to overcome; it was scarier to be scared than the fear that came from going over the bridge........
I am just writing about landscapes now. you are very lucky with those and the such glorious sea! lovely pics...
Those photographs (particularly the banner) are the next best thing to being there.
beautiful scenery in these last posts... visiting scotland is one of my - as yet unfulfilled - wishes, and given the durrent situation it may well remain so for a while
Thank you for posting all those lovely photos and descriptions … and a B&B with bunnies, too! If ever Mrs Golebnik and I find someone reliable to look after our bunny, we’ll try to visit Oban and Mull too. Reports of visiting places like that without a car are also very much appreciated.
How beautiful your pictures are!
Oh some pretty places .. just what I imagine some of Scotland would look like.
I am NOT letting Racer look!
I hope you took the opportunity to eat at The Oyster Brewery at Ellenabeich while you were there, and of course sample the outstanding beer...
All sounds wonderful, I do feel envious. The banner is just gorgeous, even better than the apples...
What a delightfully lovely little island - glad you made it ok :)
Looks like a really nice place to visit and the bridge just adds a little bit of excitement.
It looks like a beautiful place.
