On Saturday, we walked through the Hermitage of Braid, in Edinburgh:
perched on a rock
in the rushing stream -
a dipper sings.
Last time we had walked here, it had all looked very different:
woodland
changed by snow -
lost paths
*********************
the sun
blurs behind clouds -
trees drip snow.
************************
birdtracks
across the snow -
gorse still blooms
winter wonders for One Deep Breath

A great set. I really like the 'lost paths' one - reminding us that nature always has the upper hand, and that paths are a man-made device that can be erased at any moment. I love all the layers in the 'trees drip snow' one too.
This is lovely. The sun seems to meet her match in winter! Such challenges we face within ourselves all the time.
