Signs of Otters

As well as being a wonderful woodland (as I blogged about in this post) the RSPB Wood of Cree Reserve overlooks this lovely patch of water that is a favourite haunt of otters (click on the photos below and you should be able to read the signs!). We didn't see any otters while we were there.

For Signs Signs

You can read my poem about otters, inspired by a road sign in Orkney here.

As ever, red text contains hyperlinks that take you to other web-pages where you can find out more.

  3. It would be fun to see the otters splashing around in the water. It's nice that the sign gives guides as to where and when it would be good to see them.

  4. They are elusive creatures. I've been fortunate to see them several times in the preserves where we live but I've never gotten a good shot of them.

  10. What a nice polite sign! We looked hard on Skye, but saw no otter signs (or otters) this time - or on Mull. I think the bad weather had something to do with it ... with poor visibility at times.
