  2. The trees seem as if old friends in shadow. Perhaps they are ready to shake hands (limbs??) in friendship mode. Or perhaps not - the shadowy illusions get our imaginations working overtime. Lovely capture!

  3. I think snow makes a wonderful "canvas" for shadows.

  4. I'm thinking the same thing as Ralph!
these trees are dear friends and are holding hands .. the white snow is a perfect canvas for them to illustrate their friendship : )

  7. well I didn't post my tree shadows on snow, but I was out and about taking a few. aren't bare trees beautiful? My thinking on that has totally changed through the years. I used to think only trees with leaves had beauty.
    Your shadows are lovely.
    Happy SSS!

  8. Two tall lovestruck trees,
    lean in ever so gently,
    to kiss each other

...I'm not much of a poet but thought I'd give it a shot for fun :)

    Wonderful photo!

  9. I like the way the shadows are making an arch and also they remind me of hands joining.

  10. It's like the branches are embracing each other.

Mine this week is a heron casting its shadow near the marina.

  11. I like the way the trees are reaching out to one another (at least in shadow), quite lovely.
