Love "heron, buffeted by the wind" They stand still whatever the weather and if it is rough their feathers get blown about something rotten. Do you know the Edwin Morgan poem Heron?
I like the way that both of these birds appear firmly seated within their environment. I think that shows how creatures connect to their surroundings far more than people do.

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful images! Blue heron's inhabit our area year round - such beautiful birds.Our broom (gorse) has yet to bud.
