i had the privilege of watching some fledglings this year. what a treat it was to watch them fly from their nest. very nice haiku.

i'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble with submissions for Bolts of Silk. i thought your submission guidelines were clearly posted. i'm sure you're right about them not reading the guidelines. hope everything gets cleared up soon.
A few years ago, we had a roof over our porch and each spring robins would nest under the eaves. It was a delight to watch them grow and crowd each other in the nest, begging for food from their busy parents. Several lucky years, we watched them take their first flights and then wobbly-legged and hungry search with their parents for food. A wonderful experience. Love your haiku.

One of my favourite fledglings is the robin before his red breast has appeared.
