End of Summer (haiku)

swallows fly low
around the fields -
goats graze

They've been lining on the telegraph wires for a couple of weeks around here. I wonder how much longer we'll be able to enjoy them.

I am not seeing swallows like I used to. Like so many other birds, we herald the coming, but often don't notice when they slip away.

This is a very peaceful haiku.
