Blossoms in the Meadows

Edinburgh is a mass of blossoms at the moment, especially the Meadows.

Love that cherry blossom, but not sure whether I prefer the white cherry blossom, which always reminds me of Housman's Lovliest of trees, the cherry now. I always recite that poem to myself at this time of year.

wow, this looks gorgeous!
we had 10 days of warm sunshine at the beginning of april and all the growth went mad! after being well behind the blossoms sprung and fell off in less than a week, the forests are already at the beginning of may stage...

Pretty ... same here, at last. A long chilly winter.

Gorgeous shot of the cherry blossom. I just love looking up at it against a blue sky.

How lovely. I always forget how green Edinburgh actually is.

And here too. It's so nice after this last winter. I lost a lot of big shrubs this winter. :(
