More Christmas Cards

More Christmas cards made from reused business folders, scrap wrapping paper and photos from magazines. The Robin is from Birds, the magazine for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The polar bear is from a Greenpeace publication.

good idea with the cards, and nice news about your poem in the magazine!!

at christmas-time,at my mum's house, when the festivities are drawing to a close and she takes down her mountains and mountains (mini-forest-worth) of greetings card (fortunately in italy the greeting card scene is miniscule!) i grab scissors and start chopping them up to make the following year's gift tags, it's therapeutic, fun and recycles what would otherwise be thrown into the paper bin.

They are very lovely. My boys make the family ones themselves and they enjoy it.

The cards are wonderful. Oh, how I long to see a Robin at Christmas - we don't get them in Australia.

Although I don't fashion my own cards (I should), I always order cards that claim to come from recycled paper, and support a cause, like the CRY cards, or the Indian Children Funds greeting cards....

Your cards are wonderful though, and nothing is more thoughtful than a handmade card, right?

Jo - thanks, I used to love making cards when I was a kid too, I still do of course!

Selma - robins are so symbolic of Christmas aren't they! you must have lovely birds in Australia though!

Ana - I usually buy a few from charities too, in previous years I've never made enough to go round (that's why I'm starting early this year!)

Sandy - thanks!

Pattie - they're very different birds arent they?
