Holy Crow! I cannot believe it's THAT springy in your part of the world already. Still snow here in the mid-atlantic states. And the crO-cus -es! Sigh. Is it usually that far into spring in February in Edinburgh?
Maureen - this is pretty normal, though we have had a mild winter this year. But the Gulf Stream is still working reasonably well which usually keeps our climate much warmer you might expect for somewhere so far north....
They certainly look best when they are massed and when the colours are varied. The purple against the gold, with just that touch of white here and there, is perfect.
What thrilling photos! Our snow won't melt for another month at least, and March is the ugliest time of year because the snow is dirty and has lost its fluffiness. But this carpet of crocuses lifts my heart!
