in the shadow of Arthur's Seat

We took this photo almost exactly a year ago!

I recently posted a poem about shadows on my Over Forty Shades blog, you can read it here.

  2. This seems a rugged outcropping, the grasses less and less as the stone reaches for the sky. But quite beautiful, too. The poet/photo artist stops, and seems to consider the possibilities: Enjoy the view here of enjoy it further up. Any possibility exists, and there are no bad options - the beauty exixts always...

  6. Beautiful shadow but I tried to get to the poem and it wouldn't come up for me. Maybe the Internet is moving too slow right now, so I will come back later.

  11. What a lovely shot -- never thought about shadows looking happy, but honestly the two of your's together do. (terribly awkward sentence that, but I haven't yet had my morning coffee.)

Beautiful spot too! And your poem made me think!

  14. I love this photo - the intense blueness of the sky, and then the people-shadows clearly defined on the grass, by the path. It's got great composition.
