The colours of the Rowan reflect very nicely in the windows of the building. It is a lovely soft tree and I like the shapes of the leaves - very geometric.
hi crafty green, i'm passing through a need to see trees reflected - in water - there's soemthing about the softening of their form and detail that appeals. to me. good poetry does the same for me. softens the form and detail so i can experience it with more of an implied edge. steven
Enjoyed both photos; however i couldn't help placing my hand over that portion of window left in the crop, i think it makes for a cleaner clearer crop with just the whole window I loved watching the sky through the window, loved the close up of the fence design in the other much love gillena
I like the way the different panes of glass reflect different colors in that second photo. I was so taken with that I almost missed realizing the tree was a reflection and not real!
The trees are just wonderful. A great spot to be pensive.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors reflected in the windows - I see purple and red along with the blue.
Lovely image, the tree reflections seem to soften the rigid lines of the buildings.
ReplyDeleteLove how the columns frame the reflection in the first and the second is a very lovely catch of tree and sky!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots! I particularly like the ginger leaves on the second one.
ReplyDeleteWe're both doing trees today.

What a lovely idea Juliet, to photograph the reflections - I especially like the rowan's. Have a pleasant weekend.
ReplyDeleteThese are great reflections! Love the autumn tree, the color is just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reflection.Love it.

ReplyDeleteEspecially love how in the one photo columns add an extra dimension of framing to the reflections! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. I like them both for different reasons. The first has such linear power softened by the curves of nature.
ReplyDeleteI like the delicacy of the second.
Through the reflection on the glass, I could see the colors of blues, purples and pinks of the sky! I love the reds on the tree!
ReplyDeleteMore reasons for me to want to explore Edinburgh... I've been longing for Scotland for years!
ReplyDeleteI love that second shot!
ReplyDeletePostcard perfect!
The tree is giving a soul to the office. I am sure a lot of people notice it from inside the building.
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful, yet the second one is fantastic. Methinks I need to travel to Edinburgh again. 2001 is too far away.

Lovely photos, I would love to visit. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful -- I love how you've captured the reflections of the colors and the tree.
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful shots. The points on the fence remind me of the points on the gate I just posted...thanks for the visit & comment.
